The mechanical splicer is cold connection optical device, no need to fusion splice or matching gel. The fiber optic clamping element is made of elastic metal material, which does not have the aging problem of plastic components, and temperature change have almost no effect on the fiber optic clamping. The device has an anti loosing structure inside, and its anti vibration and anti drop performance are very good.

Furthermore, there is axial clamping force at the fiber optic docking point, and there is no gap between the two fiber optic end faces, so the connection loss is often less than 0.3dB, or even less than 0.1 dB.
